Chris P.’s profile

Chris has been a musician and music nerd as long as he can remember. Starting off by playing cello at the age of six, he switched to guitar at eleven when he became consumed by the mid-90s alt-rock craze. After years of never getting serious with the guitar, he ended up playing guitar, keys, and singing for Until the Tape Runs Out and Geometry (with R&H cohort Arun Antonyraj) for the majority of high school and college, AKA “the glory days.” When he became Music Director at KUOM Radio K in Minneapolis in 2003, he fell in love with modern epic instrumental music and started a radio program called “nowlikephotographs,” which specializes in independent post-rock, neo-classical, ambient, and bedroom electronica artists. In addition to concentrating on the radio show, he now teaches English to high schoolers in Minneapolis and is finally getting back to writing music now that his post-graduate adult life is officially in order.
