Chris K.’s profile
Chris grew up in seven cities because his dad was in the radio business–it’s kind of like being in the army, in that way. He’s a percussionist who believes in the ordination of Rick Latham’s “Advanced Funk Studies”, and he did some time at the percussion studios in college working on the marimba (his favorite instrument). Arun and Chris ran the campus radio station together for a couple years, and it was there that he picked up the guitar; now that he plays bass, banjo, and some other nice things, his apartment has a big recording studio instead of a living room.
While his first love is rock ‘n roll, he spends a lot of time with his second, programming. At his day job, he hacks on Apple’s open-source Darwin Streaming Server, and the rest of the time he makes web applications with Ruby on Rails (like this one). And all of this at home in Venice in California, a couple blocks from the hippies at the beach.
