It’s a breathing city… it’s the way you breathe in the city. These particular breaths are the fruits of almost two years of writing, tinkering and recording in Brooklyn, NY. Roses & Hello is proud to present City Breathing’s full-length debut, Look How It’s Snowing Upwards, Look How They Move Towards Heaven.
Originally just a pair, Arun & Marwan found Ron after a year of recording sessions in Arun’s home studio. Those early tapes are quiet, but heartfelt—and that energy is captured on the band’s new record.
Like swirling clouds in glass jars, these eight tracks are intimate and ethereal—a delicate palette of hypnotizing guitar loops, elegant percussion, and yearning vocals that captures the band’s vivid metropolitan surroundings. The writing is pop at its core, yet solemn and expansive: half of the tracks are nearly cinematic, soaring past the seven-minute mark.
The record is out now and available in CD and digital formats directly from Roses & Hello. The Brooklyn-trio are currently active and will be spending the remainder of the year touring throughout the US, Canada and Europe to promote the new album.
